Receta Chicken Drumsticks With Coffee Barbecue Sauce

Ingredientes
- 1/2 c. ketchup
- 1/3 c. packed dark brown sugar
- 1/2 c. brewed espresso
- 1/4 c. cider vinegar
- 1 med onion, coarsely, minced
- 3 x jalapeno, halved, seeded
- 3 x garlic, cloves, crushed
- 2 Tbsp. molasses
- 2 Tbsp. dry mustard pwdr
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp. grnd cumin
- 4 tsp cayenne pepper Chicken Drumsticks
- 12 x chicken, drumsticks, well rinsed, patted dry coarse salt, and freshly cracked black pepper vegetable oil, for brushing grill

- Mix mustard pwdr with 1 tbsp of water to make mustard mix.
- In a saucepan, prepare the barbecue sauce by combining ketchup, brown sugar, espresso, cider vinegar, onion, jalapenos, garlic, molasses, mustard mix, Worcestershire, cumin and cayenne pepper.
- Bring to a boil on medium heat and cook for 10 min.
- Let cold completely.
- Put the chicken and the sauce in a resealable plastic bag and seal.
- Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 3 hrs or possibly overnight.
- Remove chicken from barbecue sauce.
- Cook the barbecue sauce in a pot over medium heat.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reserve sauce for brushing the chicken.
- Chicken Drumsticks:Heat a grill on medium heat.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper.
- Brush grill with oil.
- Grill chicken for about 8 to 10 min per side or possibly till chicken is cooked through reaching an internal temperature of 175 to 180 degrees F, brushing with the sauce.
- This is a killer barbecue sauce with a kick! I've added fresh-brewed espresso to my homemade barbecue sauce and was thrilled with the incredible depth of flavour which resulted. Try it with Cornish hens, turkey or possibly quail as well.
