- 1 cup peanut butter (I used creamy)
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla

%20Every%20year%20he%20asks%20for%20a%20chocolate%20cake%20with%20peanut%20butter%20frosting.%20For%20the%20past%20two,%20maybe%20three%20years,%20I%E2%80%99ve%20made%20him%20this%20Reese%E2%80%99s%20peanut%20butter%20chocolate%20cake.%20This%20year%20I%20was%20hoping%20to%20switch%20it%20up%20just%20a%20little.%20I%20happened%20to%20have%20Reese%E2%80%99s%20Pieces%20on%20hand.%20When%20I%20asked%20if%20he%E2%80%99d%20be%20okay%20with%20a%20non-layered%20cake%20if%20it%20had%20candy%20on%20top,%20he%20was%20happy%20to%20oblige.%20Because%20what%20kid%20won%E2%80%99t%20opt%20for%20extra%20candy?%20None%20of%20mine.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20cake%20is%20super%20simple%20to%20make.%20It%20starts%20with%20a%20chocolate%20cake%20recipe%20that%20I%20got%20from%20my%20mom.%20I%20tweaked%20it%20a%20bit,%20but%20it%20is%20basically%20the%20same%20delicious%20cake%20that%20I%20had%20more%20times%20then%20I%20can%20count%20when%20I%20was%20growing%20up.%20We%20called%20it%20Texas%20Sheet%20Cake,%20and%20topped%20it%20with%20a%20warm%20chocolate%20frosting.%20It%20is%20just%20as%20yummy%20in%20this%20recipe.%20This%20is%20a%20very%20moist%20and%20tender%20cake,%20which%20is%20just%20how%20I%20like%20cake.%20I%E2%80%99m%20not%20a%20fan%20of%20fluffy%20cakes%20if%20they%20are%20dry%20AT%20ALL.%20Plus%20I%20love%20that%20you%20serve%20it%20right%20from%20the%20pan.%20No%20greasing%20and%20flouring%20cake%20pans%20and%20lining%20with%20parchment%20paper.%20No%20worries%20that%20your%20cake%20is%20going%20to%20stick%20to%20the%20pan%20when%20you%20flip%20it%20over.%20Sometimes%20simple%20and%20stress-free%20cooking%20is%20the%20way%20to%20go!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20peanut%20butter%20frosting%20on%20the%20top%20is%20creamy%20and%20sinfully%20yummy.%20I%20could%20(and%20did)%20eat%20a%20few%20spoonfuls.%20It%20is%20perfect%20on%20top%20of%20this%20cake.%20Kids%20love%20the%20candy%20on%20top,%20and%20I%20think%20it%20gives%20the%20cake%20a%20fun%20element,%20but%20the%20cake%20and%20frosting%20really%20could%20stand%20alone.%20Unless%20you%E2%80%99re%20making%20it%20for%20a%20ten%20year%20old%E2%80%99s%20birthday%20party.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EChocolate%20Cake%20with%20Peanut%20Butter%20Frosting%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECake:%20Bring%20butter,%20cocoa,%20and%20water%20to%20a%20boil%20in%20a%20small%20saucepan.%20Have%20ready%20in%20a%20bowl%20the%20flour,%20sugar,%20and%20salt.%20Pour%20the%20boiling%20mixture%20into%20the%20dry%20ingredients%20and%20beat%20well.%20Add%20eggs,%20vanilla,%20buttermilk,%20and%20baking%20soda.%20Mix%20well.%20Pour%20into%20a%20lightly%20greased%209%20x%2013%E2%80%B3%20pan.%20Bake%20at%20350%C2%B0%20for%2035-40%20minutes.%20Cool%20completely,%20then%20frost%20with%20peanut%20butter%20frosting.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFrosting:%20Beat%20butter%20and%20peanut%20butter%20till%20smooth.%20Add%20powdered%20sugar,%20salt,%20and%20vanilla.%20Beat%20in%20enough%20cream%20to%20make%20a%20spreadable%20frosting.%20Spread%20over%20cooled%20cake.%20Lick%20the%20bowl%20when%20you%20are%20done-%20it%E2%80%99s%20divine!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELinking%20up%20with:%20I%20Heart%20Naptime,%20The%20Crafted%20Sparrow,%20Flamingo%20Toes,%20Sand%20and%20Sisal,%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
