  2. Heat semi-sweet chocolate morsels over warm (not boiling) water. Combine salt and egg whites. Beat till foamy. Add in sugar very gradually and continue to beat till stiff peaks form. Add in vinegar and vanilla and beat well. Fold melted chocolate, cherries and nuts into meringue mix. Drop by well rounded measuring teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10 to 12 min or possibly till done. Remove carefully to cooling rack.
  3. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen.
