Receta Chocolate Meringue Pie

Ingredientes
- 9 inch baked pie shell
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 3 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 tbsp. cocoa
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- 3 egg yolks
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 tbsp. vanilla
Direcciones
- Stir together sugar, cornstarch, salt and cocoa in saucepan. In separate bowl, blend lowfat milk and egg yolks; gradually stir into sugar mix. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly till mix thickens and boils. Boil and stir 2 min. Remove from heat, blend in butter and vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell. Add in meringue, sealing to edge of crust. Bake about 10 min at 400 degrees, till lightly brown. Cold and chill.
- MERINGUE INSTRUCTIONS: Beat egg whites and cream of tartar till foamy. Beat in sugar gradually, lightly beating whites till stiff. Beat in vanilla.
