- 8 cups popped popcorn (about 1 batch in a Whirly Pop)
- 1 cup peanuts (cashews or almonds)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup margarine
- 3 tablespoons corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla (or almond if you are using almonds)

12 de Marzo de 2012My dad had a few of the 'boy' items. He had a couple of knives, horse and I think a couple of cars. Don't know what happened to them. Today's cracker jacks have very few peanuts and the popcorn isn't as good. Its usually a little on the tough side.- 12 de Marzo de 2012Veronica, Have you seen the prizes that are not in the Cracker Jack boxes? Now and then I pick up a package (little bag, not box) and the prize is a paper item. Remember they used to put everything from tiny dolls to knives and they were all made so you could put them on a piece of string and make a 'charm' necklace/bracelet from them. I've heard that some of the old toys are worth a fortune now.1 reply
