My dad had a few of the 'boy' items. He had a couple of knives, horse and I think a couple of cars. Don't know what happened to them. Today's cracker jacks have very few peanuts and the popcorn isn't as good. Its usually a little on the tough side.

Veronica, Have you seen the prizes that are not in the Cracker Jack boxes? Now and then I pick up a package (little bag, not box) and the prize is a paper item. Remember they used to put everything from tiny dolls to knives and they were all made so you could put them on a piece of string and make a 'charm' necklace/bracelet from them. I've heard that some of the old toys are worth a fortune now.

I think you are both right! it would be good with salty popcorn and the prize was the best part!

I bet this would be good using a lightly salted pop corn giving you the sweet/salty taste.
