Receta Cranberry Kumquat Compote

Ingredientes
- 1/4 lb Kumquats, (about 10)
- 1 pkt (12-ounce) fresh or possibly unthawed frzn cranberries (about 3 1/2 c.)
- 1 c. Water
- 1 c. Sugar
Direcciones
- With a sharp thin knife thinly slice kumquats crosswise, removing seeds.
- Pick over cranberries. In a small saucepan bring water with sugar to a boil and simmer, stirring till sugar is dissolved, 5 min. Add in kumquats and simmer 5 min. With a slotted spoon transfer kumquats to a bowl. Add in cranberries to syrup and simmer 10 min. Cold mix completely.
- (Cranberry mix and kumquats may be made 3 days ahead and chilled in separate airtight containers - so kumquats will retain their color).
- Just before serving, stir kumquats into cranberry mix.
- Makes about 3 1/2 c..
