  • 1 tsp spicy brown mustard
  • 4 x thinly-sliced beef top round steaks (1 lb total)

  1. Place the broiler rack 8 to 10 inches from the heat source and preheat the broiler. Place the French-fried onions in a shallow dish.
  2. In another shallow dish, combine the oil and the mustard. Dip the steaks into the oil mix, then into the onions, coating completely with each.
  3. Place the steaks on a rimmed baking sheet and broil for 3 to 4 min per side, or possibly till cooked through.
