- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- 3/4 cup apple cider, or apple juice or water
