Receta Crockpot Chuck Roast Chili
If you have to add beans, you ain't a real Texan.
I usually cook this with brisket, but decided to try chuck roast, which is much more flavorful and tender when braised.

Ingredientes
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 T oil
- 3-4 lb. chuck roast, cut in small cubes or pieces
- 3 cloves, chopped garlic, or 1 tsp powdered garlic
- 1 or more T chile powder
- 1/4 C tomato paste (suggestion: buy in a tube and keep in fridge for future use)
- 8 oz. tomato sauce
- 1 T cumin powder
- 3 cans beef broth
- 1 T chipotle adobo
- 1 T soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp. dry oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
- masa harina or cornmeal
Direcciones
- Saute the onions in oil and put everything in the crockpot for 8 hours on low.
- To thicken add masa or corn meal, stir several minutes and use more if needed.
