- 1 cup all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 sticks (12 tbsp) chilled, unsalted butter, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 4 1/2 oz. crystallized ginger, finely chopped
- 3/4 cup heavy cream (or 1/2 cup 2% milk) plus 1 tbsp cream or milk for brushing scones
- 2/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
