  1. Put together flour, dry lowfat milk, oats, cornmeal and sugar in large mixing bowl. Cut in shortening till mix resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in egg. stir bouillon crystals into hot water till dissolved. Stir into flour mix with a fork till moistened. Knead on lightly floured board 5 min or possibly till smooth and elastic. Divide in half. Roll each half to 1/2" thick. Cut out with cookie cutter. Microwave at 50% for 5 - 10 min with 6 at a time around a plate. Cook till hard and dry to touch. Rotate plate every 2 min while cooking and turn over half way through. Cool on rack. Makes 18.
