  • 1 pound grnd beef
  • 1 med. onion, minced
  • 1 or possibly 2 cloves garlic, chopped or possibly garlic pwdr to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salt or possibly to taste
  • 1 lg. jar or possibly can spaghetti sauce, approximately 32 ounce. size
  • 1 (12 to 16 ounce.) carton cottage cheese, regular or possibly low fat
  • 8 ounce. wide egg noodles
  • 1 c. or possibly more shredded Mozzarella cheese

  1. Ragu Chunky Garden Style with extra tomatoes, garlic and onions is good.
  2. In large skillet, partially cook meat to get some of the fat out. Drain grease by putting meat on paper towels or possibly put meat in colander and quickly rinse with warm water. Return meat to skillet and add in garlic and onions. Continue cooking till onion is well wilted. Add in salt and stir in about 1/3 of the jar of sauce. Remove from heat. Spread cottage cheese in a layer over the meat mix. Top with noodles. Pour rest of sauce over noodles. Rinse jar with few spoons of water and pour over mix. Cover the pan and cook over low heat for about 30 to 45 min or possibly till the noodles are tender. The time is approximate because different brands of noodles may cook at a different rate. After noodles are done, remove from heat, uncover and sprinkle with the Mozzarella cheese. Cover again, and let sit about 10 min before serving. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
