Ingredientes

  • 2 c. Granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. Applesauce (do not use the unsweetened kind)
  • 1/2 c. Water
  • 1/2 c. Shortening
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp Grnd cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Grnd cloves
  • 1/2 tsp Grnd allspice
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 c. Raisins (dusted with 1 tsp. flour)
  • 1/2 c. Minced walnuts (optional..I leave out because of the kid's nut allergy...but better with the nuts, yum...)

Direcciones

  1. Blend together in large bowl of mixer the sugar, applesauce, water, shortening, and Large eggs. When blended, and the flour, soda, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, salt, and baking pwdr. Mix well. By hand, mix in the raisins and nuts.
  2. Pour into a greased and floured tube or possibly Bundt pan. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 60 min, or possibly till the cake tests done. Coll about 20 min before removing from the pan. Dust with confectioners sugar or possibly use your favorite glaze.
  3. NOTE: I make this at Christmas and bake in mini-loaf pans. You can get about 6 from this recipe. Freeze, and then they can be used in your gift baskets...adjust baking time, of course.
