Ingredientes

  • Fish - 2 pieces (I used Barracuda; nearly 120 grams)
  • Big onions - 2 (or) Shallots - 10
  • Tomatoes - 3 (small, ripe, red ones)
  • Green chillies - 1 long chilly
  • Ginger - 1 inch long piece
  • Garlic pods - 4
  • Chopped coriander leaves - 2 tablespoon
  • Curry leaves - From 3 sprigs
  • Fennel seeds / Sombu - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder - 2 tablespoons
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Vinegar - 2 teaspoons (or) Lemon juice - 2 tsps
  • Salt - As per taste (app 1 tsp)
  • Oil - 6 to 8 tablespoons (using 8 tbsps will give a nice texture to the masala)
