  • 1 1/2 lb Fresh tuna steaks Salt and pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 x Red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c. Celery, finely minced
  • 8 x Cornichon, or possibly pickles, finely minced
  • 1 1/2 c. Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp. Red wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. Fresh lemon juice Salt and pepper
  • 1/4 c. Flat-leaf parsley, finely minced
  • 2 Tbsp. Fresh thyme, finely minced
  • 8 slc Country bread, sliced 1/2 inch thick Lettuce Tomato

Direcciones

  1. 1. Season the tuna with salt and freshly grnd pepper on both sides.
  2. 2. Heat the oil in a large saute/fry pan over medium heat.
  3. 3. Cook the tuna for 3-4 min on both sides till cooked through. Let sit for 10 min. Using a fork, flake the tuna and place in a large bowl.
  4. 4. Add in the onion, celery, and cornichon and stir to combine. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, vinegar, and lemon juice, season to taste with salt and pepper and pour over the tuna.
  5. 5. Mix in the dressing till combined, season with salt and pepper to taste and add in the parsley and thyme.
  6. 6. Serve on slices of country bread with lettuce and sliced tomato.
