Receta General Tso's Chicken (Not Fried)

Ingredientes
- 2 Tbsp. Dry sherry
- 1 Tbsp. Dark soy sauce *
- 2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
- 1 lb Boneless, skinless chicken Cut into 1 inch pcs
- 2 Tbsp. Water or possibly chicken broth
- 1 Tbsp. Rice vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. Regular soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Dark soy sauce
- 1 tsp Sesame oil
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Peanut oil
- 8 whl dry chile peppers
- 2 tsp Chopped garlic
- 1/8 tsp Powdered ginger
- 3 x Green onion, cut into 1 inch Pcs
- 1/4 tsp Crushed red pepper
- 3/4 c. Roasted unsalted peanuts
- 1 tsp Cornstarch-dissolved in
- 2 tsp water
Direcciones
- Combine the marinade ingredients in a medium bowl. Add in the chicken and stir to coat. Let stand for 30 mins. Combine the sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
- Heat a wok over high heat till warm. Add in the oil and the chiles and stir fry till the chiles darken to a deep red, about 10 seconds. Add in the chicken and stir fry for 2 min. Add in the garlic, ginger, green onion and crushed red pepper, stir fry for 1 minute. Add in the sauce and peanuts and cook, stirring for 1 minute. Add in the cornstarch solution and cook, stirring till the sauce and the chicken is nicely glazed.
