Receta Gooey Butter Cake
This is a tried and true recipe from Marge Frommel in St. Louis. If you've spent much time in St. Louis, you know what Gooey Butter Cake is!
Ingredientes
- 1 box yellow or white cake mix
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 C melted butter
- 1 8oz. pkg cream cheese
- 1 16oz. box powdered sugar
- Additional powdered sugar for sprinkling
Direcciones
- Mix together cake mix, 2 eggs and butter; blend well.
- Spoon (it is easier to spread with your fingers) mixture into a greased and floured 9x13 pan.
- Mix together cream cheese, remaining eggs and powdered sugar. Pour over batter layer and spread evenly.
- Bake in 350 Fahrenheit oven for 40 minutes.
- Top of cake will be a light golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
