Receta Green Beans Halki Style

Ingredientes
- 2 lb whole string beans, fresh or possibly frzn
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 med onions, minced
- 1/4 c. extra virgin extra virgin olive oil
- 2 x 14 1/(2-oz) cans diced tomatoes (about 4 c.)
- 3 Tbsp. fresh parsley, finely minced Salt and freshly grnd pepper Healthy pinch of cinnamon
Direcciones
- Steam beans in water till they are tender but crisp. Drain off water and set beans aside.
- Saute/fry onions in extra virgin olive oil till they are translucent/soft. Add in tomatoes, parsley, salt, pepper and cinnamon. When mix is warm, add in beans, cover and remove from heat. Serve beans warm, as a side dish.
