Receta Green Tomato Pickles (Kentucky Style)

Ingredientes
- 1 gallon green tomatoes
- 6 onions
- 1/2 c. salt
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 2 warm peppers
- 1 tbsp. grnd mustard
- 1 tbsp. mustard seed
- 1 tbsp. celery seed
- 1 tbsp. allspice
- 1 tbsp. horseradish
- 1 tbsp. whole black pepper
- 4 c. vinegar
Direcciones
- Slice tomatoes and onions, sprinkle with salt and let stand overnight.
- Boil vinegar, sugar with seasonings 5 min. Tie spices in a piece of white cloth before cooking in vinegar. Add in tomatoes and onions. Simmer for 30 min. Pour into sterilized jars and seal at once. Use cherry tomatoes or possibly Italian tomatoes, cut in half.
