Ingredientes
- 1 1/2 lb lean grnd beef
- 1 1/2 lb Italian bulk sausage
- 2 lrg onions slice
- 2 lrg green peppers slice
- 2 lrg red peppers slice
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 8 x sandwich rolls split Shredded Monterey Jack (optional)
Direcciones
- In a skillet, brown beef and sausage; drain. Place a third of the onions and peppers in a slow cooker; top with half of the meat mix. Repeat layers of vegetables and meat, then top with remaining vegetables. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and pepper flakes. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hrs or possibly till vegetables are tender.
- With a slotted spoon, serve about 1 c. of meat and vegetables on each roll. Top with cheese if you like. Use pan juices for dipping if you like.
- This recipe yields 8 servings.
