Receta Honey Baked Black Eyed Beans And Barley

Ingredientes
- 1/2 lb Black eyed beans
- 1/2 lb Barley
- 5 c. Water
- 1 x Bay leaf
- 1 tsp Dry or possibly a large dollop of ready made mustard (I used whole grain)
- 1/4 tsp Groung ginger
- 2 x Cloves garlic crushed
- 1 Tbsp. Soya sauce
- 1 lrg Onion minced
- 1 c. Water
Direcciones
- Bring beans, barley, water and bay leaf to the boil and simmer for 30 min. Mix together remaining ingredients. Add in to the beans and barley and then add in salt to taste. Pour into a casserole dish.
- Pour 1/3 c. of honey over the top. Cover and bake at 180C (360F) for an hour. Remove the lid for the last ten min.
- I served it with rice and salad. The aroma coming out of the kitchen as it baked was heavenly!
