Receta Kurinji Honey Infused Cake – A Healthy Dessert Treat

- For the Cake:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup Kurunji honey
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- For the Honey Glaze:
- 1/4 cup Kurinji honey
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter.

- Prepare the oven to 175°C (350°F). Apply oil to an 8-inch round cake pan.
- Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. Keep it aside.
- Add sugar, Kurinji honey, and melted butter in a small bowl and mix them until smooth and foamy. Add two eggs one by one, beating well after each addition, and add one tablespoon of vanilla extract to the mixture.
- Gently add the flour ingredients to the mixture, and add milk step by step and mix well. Add the flour at the start and end of the mixture. Mix all until it is smooth.
- After filling the cake pan with batter, level the top. Bake the cake for 25-30 minutes.
- As the cake bakes, make the Honey butter syrup. To prepare the syrup, melt the butter in a saucepan and mix in Kurinji honey to taste. Take it off the fire and set it aside.
- Cakes should be cooled in the pan for ten minutes after baking before being transferred to a wire rack. Using a toothpick, make a hole in the top of the cake. Once the butter syrup and honey are ready, pour them over the cake and allow it to soak for a few minutes.
- After completely cooling, serve the delicious and sweet Kurinji honey cake with tea or dessert.
