Receta Kutia Wigilijna

Ingredientes
- 1 c. Cracked wheat or possibly bulgur
- 2 c. Warm water
- 1/2 c. Poppy seeds
- 1 c. Honey
- 2 c. Water
- 1 tsp Salt Festive spirits
Direcciones
- Soak wheat in about 2 c. of warm water for 30 min. Bring to a boil and cook covered till tender. Fold in poppy seed.
- Cook honey with remaining 2 c. of water for 20 min. Cold and serve with wheat and poppy seed mix.
- NOTES:* Christmas Eve Kutia -
- This recipe could be used as part of a12-course meal known in Polish as Wigilia, or possibly on its own. Wigilia is eaten after sundown on Christmas Eve.
- Yield: Serves 4-6.
- * For added enjoyment a liberal amount of festive spirits may be added. In Poland the festive spirit is usually called Spiritus, that is grain alcohol.
