  • 20 taro (gabi) leaves (finely shredded)
  • 1/2 kilo pork (thinly sliced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 medium onion (minced)
  • small ginger (sliced to strips)
  • 2 red chili (siling labuyo)
  • 2 fresh coconut milk or 1big can

Direcciones

  1. Wash dried taro leaves and remover from stalks.Cut finely into shreds or strips. Stalks are optional to add if you like.
  2. Extract the cream from the grated coconut.
  3. Sauté garlic, onion, ginger, pork meat and stir fry for a while.
  4. Add in dried red chili and keep stiring.
  5. Add the taro leaves and half of the coconut milk into the pan. Let it simmer with constant stirring.
  6. Once the coconut milk lessens, season with salt and pepper.
  7. Keep it simmering until leaves are well cooked.
  8. Add the remaining coconut milk. Bring to a full boil until coconut oil starts to show.
  9. Serve hot with steamed rice.
