Ingredientes

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup plus 1 T sugar
  • 1 T baking powder
  • 2 t grated lemon peel
  • 1 t salt
  • 9 T unsalted butter, chilled and cut into small pieces
  • 3 T chia seeds
  • 2 T lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup low-fat milk plus 2 T milk
  • 2 T Greek lemon flavored yogurt
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • In a large bowl combine;
  • Flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, lemon peel and salt
  • Cut-in butter using a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs
  • Blend chia seeds, lemon juice, milk and lemon flavored yogurt
  • Add to flour mixture
  • Stir until dough comes together
  • On a floured surface, knead dough together 10 times
  • Flatten dough into an 8-inch circle
  • Cut round into 12 wedges
  • Transfer wedges to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
  • Mix together 2 T milk and 1 T sugar
  • Brush tops of wedges with milk mixture
