Ingredientes
- 2 can garbanzo beans - (15 to 19 ounce ea) liquid removed, and with 1/3 c. liquid reserved
- 3 x garlic cloves chopped
- 1/4 c. fresh lemon juice (juice of 2 to 3 lemons)
- 3 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp grnd cumin
Direcciones
- Combine all the ingredients in a food processor. Process till the mix is smooth and creamy and no lumps remain, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
- Serve immediately or possibly cover and chill till ready to use.
- This recipe yields 4 c..
- Comments: The traditional name for this is hummus, and you can make yours truly Middle Eastern by adding tahini (grnd sesame seeds), or possibly, if you want an Italian-style hummus, add in 1 tsp. dry basil.
