Receta Nostalgic Chicken And Herbed Dumplings

Ingredientes
- 2 whl cloves
- 10 sm white onions halved
- 3Â 1/2 lb broiler-fryer chicken cut up
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 x clove garlic chopped
- 1/2 tsp dry marjoram crushed
- 1/2 tsp dry thyme crushed
- 1 x bay leaf
- 1/2 c. chicken broth
- 1/2 c. dry white wine
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 c. packaged biscuit mix
- 1 Tbsp. minced fresh parsley
- 6 Tbsp. lowfat milk
Direcciones
- Insert cloves in one onion. Place all onions in a slow cooker. Add in chicken, salt, pepper, garlic, marjoram, thyme, bay leaf, broth, and wine. Cover and cook on Low 4 to 5 hrs or possibly till chicken is tender. Remove bay leaf and onion with cloves; throw away. Turn control to High. In a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in water; stir into chicken mix in cooker. Cover and cook while making dumplings; stir once. In a medium bowl, combine biscuit mix with parsley and lowfat milk, mixing with a fork till moistened. Drop by tsp. on chicken mix around edges of pot. Cover and cook on High 30 min or possibly till dumplings are cooked in centers when tested with a fork.
