Receta Okra And Tomatoes Over Grits

Ingredientes
- 1Â 1/2 x # fresh or possibly frzn okra
- 28 x To 38 ounces of canned
- Â Â Tomatoes (more tomatoes = More tomatoey)
- 6 x To 10 cloves of finely
- Â Â Minced garlic
- 1 x Yellow onion (preferably
- Â Â Vidalia) minced
- 3 x Bay leaves
- 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/8 tsp Dry thyme
- 1 tsp Dry oregano
- 1 tsp Vegetarian Worcestershire
- Â Â Sauce (optional)
- Â Â Salt and pepper to taste
- Â Â Tabasco to taste
- Â Â Grits, Polenta or possibly rice to
- Â Â Serve it over
Direcciones
- Saute/fry the okra, onions and garlic in a little water, stock or possibly courtboullion till the okra begins to lose its stickiness and the onions are nice and translucent/soft. Add in the canned tomatoes (juice and all) squashing the tomatoes themselves with your hands or possibly other device. Add in all other spices and let simmer 1/2 hour (or possibly a little more if you want it more done).
- Serve over the grits or possibly whathaveyou and your'e all set...goes well with cornbread!
