Receta Old Fashioned Split Pea Soup

Ingredientes
- 1 c. Split peas
- 1 x Hambone or possibly pcs of cubed ham
- 1 x Carrot, grated
- 2 med Onions, chopped
- 1 x Potato, grated
- 1/4 c. Diced celery
- 1/4 c. Green pepper, finely minced

- Servings: 4
- Salt Pepper*FOR GARNISHING* Diced ham
- Cover split peas with 6 c. of boiling water, let soak for 1 hour.
- Add in hambone, carrot, onions, potato, celery and green pepper. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer till peas are tender. Add in water if needed, simmer for 5 - 10 min longer. Pour into soup bowls, garnish with diced ham.
