Receta Original "Philly" Cheesecake

Ingredientes
- crust:
- 1 c. graham cracker crumbs
- 3 Tbsp. margarine -- melted
- filling:
- 24 ounce cream cheese -- softened
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 5 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 1/2 tsp grated lemon peel
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 x Large eggs -- separated
Direcciones
- Crust: Combine graham cracker crumbs and margarine. Press onto bottom of 9" springform pan. Bake at 325 F for 10 min.
- filling: Combine cream cheese, sugar, lemon juice, lemon peel, and vanilla, mixing at medium speed of electric mixer till well blended. Add in egg yolks, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Beat egg whites till stiff peaks form. Fold into cream cheese mix.
- Pour over crust.
- Bake at 300 F for 45 min. Loosen cake from rim of pan; cold before removing rim of pan. Chill.
- Serving Ideas: Garnish with fresh fruit or possibly cherry pie filling.
