Receta Pattukkotai Chicken Curry

Pattukkotai is a well known town South India. This is a typical “Pattukkotai dish” with and dash of genuine regional flavor. It tastes exotic and very simple to prepare. The ingredients were stomach friendly. This Curry could be taken with rice, Bread, Chapatti etc.,
Ingredientes
- Chicken "Curry Cut"- 600 grams
- Refined Oil - 2 table spoons
- Big Onions - 250 grams
- Tomatoes - 2
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Ginger - 1 inch fresh Ginger
- Garlic - 5 cloves
- Cinnamon - one small piece
- Cloves - 3
- Coconut - 50 grams
- Cumin - 1 teaspoons
- Pepper corns - 10
- Fennel seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Chilly Powder - 2 teaspoons
- Coriander Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
- Curry leaves - 1 stem
- Coriander leaves - small bunch

Heat the Oil in a Pan

Add Cinnamon and Cloves. Once the aroma rises, add the Onions.

Saute the Oinions until it turns brown. Now add the Tomatoes.

Add the turmeric powder and stir fry until tomatoes blend with the Onions.

Add the Chicken. Add the Chilly powder and Coriander Powder. Add Salt. Grind the Ginger and Garlic in a food processor and add them to the cooking dish.

Cover the pan and wait for 10 minutes. Meantime grind the coconut to paste with peppercorns, Cumins and Fennel seeds. Add them to the simmering gravy.
7.
Now the gravy will start to thickening due to the coconut paste. Wait till the gravy gets good consistency. Now add the coriander leaves and curry leaves. Stir the dish few times and switch off the flame. The Dish is done.
