%20on%20my%20peanut%20butter%20sandwich,%20my%20mission%20was%20to%20pair%20up%20the%20fruit%20spreads%20and%20peanut%20butter%20in%20another%20form,%20something%20that%20kids%20and%20adults%20could%20both%20enjoy.%20How%20about%20a%20cupcake?%20Yes,%20please.%20I%20did%20scan%20the%20Internet%20for%20ideas%20and%20eventually%20came%20up%20with%20my%20own%20version:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPB&J%20Cupcakes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20oven%20to%20350%20%C2%B0%20F.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELine%20a%2012%20cup%20muffin%20tin%20with%20paper%20liners.%20Lightly%20spray%20each%20liner%20with%20cooking%20spray.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESift%20or%20whisk%20together%20the%20flour,%20baking%20powder%20and%20salt;%20set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20large%20mixing%20bowl,%20beat%20the%20butter,%20peanut%20butter%20and%20sugar%20together%20for%20two%20minutes%20or%20until%20light%20and%20fluffy.%20Add%20the%20eggs,%20on%20at%20a%20time,%20beating%20well%20after%20each%20addition.%20Beat%20in%20the%20vanilla.%20Add%20the%20flour%20and%20the%20milk,%20half%20at%20a%20time,%20beating%20until%20just%20blended.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESpoon%20the%20batter%20evenly%20into%20each%20paper%20liner.%20Bake%20for%2020%20minutes,%20or%20until%20the%20tops%20of%20the%20cupcakes%20spring%20back%20when%20lightly%20touched.%20Cool%20in%20the%20pan%20for%2010%20minutes%20before%20removing%20to%20cool%20completely.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPipe%20or%20spread%20frosting%20on%20each%20cooled%20cupcake,%20leaving%20a%20well%20in%20the%20middle.%20Place%20about%20a%20teaspoon%20of%20fruit%20spread,%20jam%20or%20jelly%20in%20the%20middle%20of%20each%20cupcake.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFrosting:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4%20tablespoons%20butter,%20softened%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4%20oz%20cream%20cheese,%20softened%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%C2%BD%20cup%20smooth%20peanut%20butter%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2%20cups%20powdered%20sugar%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%20tablespoon%20milk%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%C2%BD%20cup%20seedless%20fruit%20spread,%20jam%20or%20jelly%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20medium%20sized%20bowl,%20beat%20together%20the%20butter,%20cream%20cheese%20and%20peanut%20butter%20until%20smooth.%20Add%20the%20powder%20sugar,%20%C2%BD%20cup%20at%20a%20time,%20beating%20after%20each%20addition.%20Add%20the%20milk%20and%20beat%20until%20creamy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETake%20them%20out%20of%20the%20oven%20before%20they%20get%20too%20brown...they%20should%20still%20be%20a%20little%20light%20in%20color.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20used%20the%20Strawberry%20Banana%20flavor%20with%20this%20batch,%20but%20any%20of%20the%20flavors%20will%20work.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow,%20aren't%20these%20cute?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENot%20the%20most%20attractive%20picture,%20but%20it%20does%20show%20the%20crumb.%20These%20cupcakes%20will%20be%20a%20little%20more%20dense%20than%20from%20a%20box,%20but%20not%20so%20dense%20that%20they%20are%20dry.%20If%20you%20refrigerate%20the%20cupcakes,%20allow%20them%20to%20sit%20out%20at%20room%20temperature%20for%20a%20bit%20before%20you%20serve%20them.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20liked%20the%20peanut%20butter%20flavored%20cake,%20but%20next%20time%20I%20might%20try%20a%20chocolate%20version....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20to%20say,%20since%20I%20started%20thinking%20about%20all%20of%20the%20ways%20I%20could%20combine%20the%20peanut%20butter%20and%20jelly,%20I%20couldn't%20get%20this%20little%20tune%20out%20of%20my%20head:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI'm%20evil.%20Now%20the%20song%20is%20in%20your%20head.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA%20few%20more%20things%20about%20Hero%20Fruit%20Spreadables---they%20are%20sold%20exclusively%20at%20Super%20Target%20stores%20nationwide%20for%20a%20suggested%20retail%20price%20of%20$2.49.%20Besides%20being%20free%20of%20artificial%20ingredients,%20they%20contain%20more%20fruit%20than%20traditional%20jams,%20and,%20just%20so%20you%20know%20this%20isn't%20a%20fly%20by%20night%20company,%20Hero%20first%20started%20making%20natural%20fruit%20jams%20in%20Switzerland%20in%201886!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EJust%20for%20the%20record,%20I%20did%20receive%20free%20product%20in%20order%20to%20write%20this%20review.%20Am%20I%20lucky%20or%20what?%20Now,%20I'm%20thinking%20maybe%20a%20PB&J%20Cinnamon%20Roll%20might%20be%20in%20order......%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
