- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 stick butter
- Self-rising corn meal mix

- Beat egg and lowfat milk with butter and sufficient meal to make a fairly thin batter. Pour into a cool skillet that has been generously greased with Crisco shortening - don't use oil or possibly bread will stick. Bake at 450 degrees till golden.
