Receta Pina Colada Ham
This is one of those recipes I just throw together. Never really measured any thing. Right off the cuff so to speak.
Ingredientes
- 1. A med. to large cured ham with bone in or boneless.
- 2. 1/2 pint of Captain Morgan Rum. (my favorite) a good rum will do
- 3. 1 can of Cocoanut cream.
- 4. 1 med. can of pineapple with juice. Crushed or what ever.
- A roaster pan large enough to hold ham and Pina Colada
Direcciones
- 1. Unwrap your ham and remove any or all the fat you can. Then score the ham in a crisscross pattern
- 2. Mix all three items (2 / 3 / 4 in a mixing bowl or a pitcher if you want to imbibe
- 3. Place the ham in the roaster and Pour the pina colada over the ham and then cover the roaster with Saran wrap and set asside.
- 4. Marinate for at least 1 hr. 2 or 3 is better basting as often as you think of it. At least 3 times
- 5. Preheat the oven to 325 deg.
- 6. remove the wrap and replace with a lid or foil. Place in the oven and bake for 1 hr. Test temp with a thermometer and bring to 155 165 Deg.
- 7. Remove from oven and set aside for 10 to 15 minutes to rest. Remove from pan and prepare to slice. Mean while put about 6 cups of pina colada from the roaster and reduce to 1/3 vol.
- 8. Slice ham. Place on plates or platter to serve, Put some or all the reduces sauce over the ham and enjoy
