Receta Poppy Seed Salad

Ingredientes
- 3/4 c. oil
- 1/3 c. honey
- 2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp. green onions optional
- 2 tsp poppy seeds
- 2 x heads red leaf lettuce
- 1 x red onion minced
- 3 x ripe avocados
- 2 can mandarin oranges (11 ounce. ea.) liquid removed
Direcciones
- Put the oil, honey, vinegar, mustard, salt, green onions, and poppy seed in a carafe and shake well to mix. Wash and pat dry the red lettuce leaves with a paper towel. Tear into bite-size pcs. Place the lettuce, onion, avocados and oranges in a salad bowl and toss. Refrigeratetill ready to serve. Just before serving, pour the dressing mix over top and toss again to coat. If you refrigeratethe dressing, it will need to be at room temperature before putting on the salad, otherwise the honey thickens and stays at the bottom of the carafe.
- Grace Says: This salad is great as a side, or possibly add in grilled sliced chicken breasts over top and serve as a main course.
