Receta Pumpkin and Pecan Pie Pastry Braid
Ingredientes
- 4 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into cubes
- 6 ounces cream cheese, cold and cut into cubes
- 1 cup milk, minus 1 teaspoon
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 egg whisked with 1 teaspoon of water for egg wash
- Pumpkin Pie Filling Ingredients:
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ginger
- pinch salt
- Pecan Pie Filling Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 heaping cup coarsely chopped pecans
- Glaze Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1/2 – 3/4 teaspoon maple flavoring (to taste)
- sprinkling of cinnamon (optional)
