- 1-1/4 cups flour
- 1/4 cup dutch process cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 ounce bottle Red Food Color (or be like me and use pink!)
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 2 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/8 cup butter, softened
- 1 tablespoons sour cream
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Confectioner's sugar

%20but%20he%20is%20perfect%20for%20me.%20%20He%20might%20be%20Grumpy%20but%20he%20can%20also%20be%20loving%20in%20a%20surprising%20amount%20of%20ways.%20%20Like%20when%20I%20roll%20over%20and%20face%20the%20other%20direction%20in%20bed%20-%20and%20he%20reaches%20over%20to%20lay%20his%20hand%20on%20my%20arm.%20%20And%20keeps%20it%20there.%20%20Like%20when%20we%20are%20watching%20a%20movie%20together%20and%20he%20will%20come%20sit%20on%20the%20couch%20beside%20me,%20reach%20over%20and%20take%20my%20hand%20and%20say%20%22You%20know,%20your%20not%20too%20bad%20for%20an%20old%20buzzard.%22%20.%20%20There%20is%20also%20the%20time%20I%20came%20home%20from%20work%20to%20find%20he%20had%20found%20the%20toothbrush%20holder%20and%20shower%20head%20to%20match%20our%20bathroom.%20%20Or%20even%20the%20night%20he%20kissed%20me%20in%20my%20sleep.%20%20:)%20%20How%20could%20I%20not%20love%20him?%20%20When%20he%20obviously%20loves%20me.%20%20He%20has%20a%20tough%20exterior%20and%20many%20wouldn't%20know%20he%20has%20a%20soft%20heart.%20%20%20Let%20me%20tell%20you%20all.%20%20He's%20not%20all%20that%20bad.%20%20:-)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20has%20been%20almost%2010%20years%20since%20our%20first%20date....where%20I%20thought%20he%20stood%20me%20up.%20%20We%20were%20meeting%20at%20the%20theater%20to%20go%20see%20%22The%20Others%22.%20%20I%20got%20there%20and%20I%20waited.%20%20%20I%20waited%20some%20more.%20%20Then,%20I%20waited%20a%20little%20longer.%20%20I%20got%20up%20and%20went%20to%20my%20car%20figuring%20he%20had%20stood%20me%20up.%20%20I%20sat%20behind%20my%20wheel%20and%20thought%20why%20am%20I%20out%20here?%20%20You%20see,%20I%20didn't%20just%20go%20to%20be%20with%20Grumpy.%20%20I%20also%20went%20because%20I%20wanted%20to%20see%20the%20movie!%20%20I%20got%20back%20out%20of%20my%20car%20and%20headed%20into%20the%20mall.%20%20As%20I%20was%20walking%20in%20from%20the%20back%20entrance,%20there%20was%20Grumpy-walking%20into%20the%20front%20entrance.%20%20He%20had%20a%20flat%20tire%20on%20the%20way%20to%20meet%20me.%20%20He%20wasn't%20standing%20me%20up%20at%20all.%20%20I%20guess%20we%20were%20just%20meant%20to%20be.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20have%20been%20married%20for%206%20years%20now.%20%20Not%20really%20all%20that%20long%20when%20I%20think%20about%20it.%20%20But%20we%20have%20been%20through%20a%20lot%20together%20in%20that%20short%20amount%20of%20time.%20%20Still%20going%20through%20a%20lot.%20%20Through%20it%20all%20though,%20my%20love%20for%20him%20is%20still%20strong.%20%20His%20happiness%20or%20pain,%20it%20is%20all%20mine%20too.%20%20I%20will%20stand%20beside%20him%20for%20the%20rest%20of%20my%20life.%20%20No%20matter%20what%20happens.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHappy%20Anniversary%20Grumpy.%20%20I%20love%20you.......too.%20%20;o)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThese%20were%20supposed%20to%20be%20my%20first%20ever%20Red%20Velvet%20Cupcake.%20%20Well,%20they%20turned%20out%20not%20so%20red%20because%20after%20I%20started%20to%20make%20them%20I%20found%20I%20didn't%20have%20any%20red%20food%20coloring!%20%20So,%20I%20added%20some%20pink.%20%20Close%20enough.%20%20Like%20these%20cupcakes,%20things%20aren't%20always%20perfect%20with%20Grumpy%20and%20me.%20%20But%20also%20like%20these%20cupcakes%20-%20I%20love%20him%20anyway.%20%20Sometimes%20the%20best%20things%20in%20life%20come%20with%20some%20of%20the%20hardest%20times%20to%20deal%20with.%20%20However,%20we%20can%20sweeten%20that%20pot%20some.%20%20With%20love.....and%20cupcakes.%20%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENot%20So%20Red%20Velvet%20Cupcakes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECake:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20oven%20to%20350%20degrees%20F.%20Mix%20flour,%20cocoa%20powder,%20baking%20soda%20and%20salt%20in%20medium%20bowl.%20Set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeat%20butter%20and%20sugar%20in%20large%20bowl%20with%20electric%20mixer%20on%20medium%20speed%20until%20light%20and%20fluffy.%20Beat%20in%20eggs,%20one%20at%20a%20time.%20Mix%20in%20sour%20cream,%20milk,%20food%20color%20and%20vanilla.%20Gradually%20mix%20in%20flour%20mixture%20on%20low%20speed%20until%20just%20blended.%20%20Scoop%20batter%20into%2012%20%20paper-lined%20muffin%20cups.%20%20I%20used%20a%20large%20cookie%20scoop%20-%20and%20filed%20the%20cups%20about%202/3%20full.%20%20Bake%2020-25%20minutes%20(mine%20went%20about%2023%20minutes).%20%20Cool%20completely%20before%20frosting.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20the%20frosting,%20mix%20cream%20cheese,%20butter,%20sour%20cream%20and%20vanilla%20until%20smooth.%20%20Mix%20in%20approximately%201-1/2%20cups%20confectioner's%20sugar.%20%20Adding%20more%20if%20needed%20to%20make%20frosting%20the%20consistency%20you%20like.%20%20Enjoy!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
