Receta Russian Snow Twigs

Ingredientes
- 2 large eggs and 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp heavy cream
- 4 tbsp superfine sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp vodka or brandy
- 3 cups all purpose flour, sifted
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- sunflower or veg oil for deep frying
- confectioners sugar for dusting
Direcciones
- Beat together the eggs, egg yolk, cream and sugar and add the salt and vodka or brandy.
- Gradually sprinkle on the flour and baking powder. Mix to a dough and knead lightly Roll out into a rectangle about 1/8th inch (3mm) thick. Cut into strips about the width of 1 1/2 fingers and 3 inches long
- Heat the oil in a deep pan until a piece of bread dropped into it sizzles and turns golden in about a minute. Deep fry the twigs, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. until they are lightly golden. Drain on paper towel, dust generously with confectioners sugar and serve immediately
