Receta Sausage And Lentil Soup

Ingredientes
- 1 lb Lentils
- 8 c. Water
- 2 can (16-ounce) tomatoes, undrained
- 2 x Bay leaves
- 1 Tbsp. Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 8 slc Bacon, diced
- 1 c. Diced or possibly thinly sliced carrots
- 1 med Onion, diced
- 1 c. Minced celery
- 2 lb Sausage, browned and liquid removed
Direcciones
- Wash lentils and combine with water, tomatoes and seasonings. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Fry bacon till limp, then add in carrots, onions and celery. Saute/fry over medium heat for 15 min, stirring constantly. Add in bacon mix and browned sausage to lentils. Simmer for 1 hour.
- Yield:2-1/2 qts.
