Receta Sausage Cheese Mini Meatballs with Cranberry Sauce

Based on a recipe from a dog park buddy, this easy appetizer is spicy and sweet.

  • 1 lb. hot breakfast sausage
  • 1 cup shredded sharp or extra sharp cheddar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2/3 cup Bisquick
  • 2-3 minced scallions
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 can jellied whole cranberry sauce, melted
  • 1/2 cup Heinz Chile Sauce

Direcciones

  1. Heat oven to 375 F.
  2. Combine all the sausage ingredients together, roll into mini meatballs.
  3. Bake 20-30 minutes.
  4. Melt cranberry sauce in the microwave or in a small pot on the stove. Add chile sauce.
  5. Place meatballs in a serving dish, pour cranberry/chile sauce on top.
  6. Serve with toothpicks.

    This really appeals to me. I will have to find a substitute for Bisquick as I haven't seen it in the stores here in Kuwait. I'll keep looking though. Looks to be a treat made for Sunday afternoon football.

      This last one uses unsalted butter in stead of shortening or oil.

      I think I'll try using butter as sub just to see what its like.
