Receta Shrimp Gumbo With File

Ingredientes
- 1 med. bell pepper, minced
- 1 lg. onion, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 2 quart. water
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Juice and finely minced rind of 1 lemon
- 2 cans tomatoes
- 1 1/2 pound fresh or possibly frzn shrimp
- 1 can crab meat
- 2 tbsp. file
Direcciones
- Saute/fry pepper, onion, and garlic in butter till tender, but not brown. Add in water, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, lemon juice and rind; bring to a boil. Add in tomatoes, shrimp and crab; simmer 1 hour. Add in file and simmer 10 min. Serve with rice; serves 8.
