Receta Sinfully Delicious Walnut Strawberry Cookies

Ingredientes
- 1/2 c. Grnd walnuts
- 1 c. Grnd rolled oats
- 1 c. Whole wheat pastry flour
- 1 pch Sea salt
- 2/3 c. Brown rice syrup
- 2 Tbsp. Corn oil
- 5 ounce Strawberry jam, sugar-free or possibly naturally-sweetened
- 1/2 tsp Almond extract
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract

- Grind walnuts by putting them between wax paper and rolling with a rolling pin. If they're not fine sufficient, then put them in a blender. Grind rolled oats the same way. Measure the c. after they are grnd. Add in walnuts, oats, flour, and sea salt together in a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, mix the rice syrup, corn oil, strawberry jam, and extracts. Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix till dry ingredients are moistened. Let cold for 30 min. Then on an oiled cookie sheet, drop a Tbsp. of batter per cookie and bake in a 350-degree oven for 20 min.
- Makes 15 to 18 cookies which are about3-inches in diameter.
- NOTES : The word "cookie" comes from the Dutch word koekje meaning little cake. There are many delicious cookies which can be made in the macrobiotic kitchen with good-quality ingredients. Here is one of our favorites.
