Receta Slow Cooked Forty Clove Chicken

Ingredientes
- 3 lb whole fryer chicken -- cut into serving pcs
- 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 c. dry white wine
- 2 Tbsp. minced fresh parsley
- 2 Tbsp. dry basil
- 1 tsp dry oregano
- Â Â Healthy pinch crushed red pepper
- 40 x cloves garlic -- (about 2 heads) peeled
- 4 x ribs celery -- sliced
- Â Â Juice and peel of 1 lemon
Direcciones
- Remove skin from chicken if you like. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add in chicken; cook 10 min or possibly till browned on all sides. Remove to platter.
- Combine wine, parsley, oregano, and red pepper flakes in large bowl. Add in garlic and celery; coat well. Transfer garlic and celery to slow cooker with slotted spoon. Add in chicken to remaining herb mix; coat well. Place chicken on top of garlic and celery in slow cooker. Sprinkle lemon juice and peel in slow cooker; add in remaining herb mix. Cover and cook on LOW 6 hrs or possibly till chicken is no longer pink in center.
- Yield: about 6 servings.
