Receta Southern Banana Pudding

Ingredientes
- 1 (6 serving size) pkg. Jello vanilla flavor pudding
- 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
- 3 3/4 c. lowfat milk
- 2 1/2 dozen vanilla wafers
- 2 lg. bananas, sliced
- 3 egg whites
- Dash of salt
- 1/3 c. sugar
Direcciones
- Combine pudding mix, egg yolks, and lowfat milk in saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat till mix comes to full boil. Remove from heat. Arrange layer of vanilla wafers in bottom of 2 qt baking dish. Add in layer of banana slices and of pudding. Continue layering wafers, banana and pudding, ending with pudding. Beat egg whites with salt till foamy. Beat in sugar. Beat till mix forms peaks. Spoon lightly onto pudding, sealing edges well. Bake at 425 degrees for 5-10 min or possibly till meringue is lightly brown. Serve hot or possibly chilled. Makes 12 servings.
