Receta Spanish Rice and Mexican Seasoning Blend
Ingredientes
- 2 T ground cumin
- 2 T ground chili powder
- 2 T ground smokey paprika
- 2 T dried oregano
- 1 T garlic powder
- 2 t cayenne powder
- Mix all seasonings together
- Store in air-tight container
- Molé Sauce
- I have never made Molé sauce from scratch but it's definitely on my "to do" list.
- Until then, my favorite brand of jarred Molé sauce is: Doña María
- For a refreshing treat, try a Jarritos Mexican Soda~
- Flavors are: Mango, Pineapple, Fruit Punch, Guava, Lime, Mandarin,
- Strawberry, Tamarind, Grapefruit, Mexican Cola, Jamaica.
- Any flavor will go well with your Cinco de Mayo Dinner~
- Spanish Rice~
- 2 cups long grain white rice
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup yellow onion, chopped
- 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 3/4 cup tomato sauce
- 2 t sea salt
- 2 3/4 cups chicken broth
- Heat oil in a 12-inch skillet
- over medium-high heat
- Add rice
- Saute' rice until golden brown
- about 10-15 minutes
- Add onion and peppers
- Saute' another 5-10 minutes
- Add minced garlic
