Ingredientes

  • 2 c. All purpose flour, (up to 4)
  • 1 Tbsp. Baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp Grnd cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Grnd alspice
  • 1/2 tsp Grnd cloves
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 8 Tbsp. Butter, cut into small pcs
  • 1/4 c. Currants or possibly dark raisins
  • 1/2 c. Granulated sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Candied lemon, finely diced
  • 1/8 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1/8 c. Confectioners sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Lowfat milk

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 375F. Thoroughly combine flour, baking pwdr, spices, and salt in a bowl. With fingers, rub pcs of cool butter into flour mix till fine granules are formed. Add in currants or possibly raisins, sugar, and lemon.
  2. Add in lowfat milk and stir to create a soft dough. Lightly flour a board and turn out dough, kneading it lightly about 10 times. Separate dough into 8 or possibly 10 balls, and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 15 min, or possibly till golden. Cold on wire rack. Mix confectioners sugar and lowfat milk into a smooth icing. Drizzle icing over each scone.
  3. Serves 8 to 10.
