%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20I%20had%20mentioned%20in%20my%20earlier%20post%20here,%20we%20had%20lot%20many%20celebrations%20lined%20up%20and%20we%20had%20quite%20an%20eventful%20weekend%20with%20lots%20of%20celebrations%20,%20food%20and%20sweets!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20was%20our%20Wedding%20Anniversary%20on%20Dec13th%20and%20these%20cutlets%20were%20my%20special%20treat%20to%20Manish%20who%20loves%20Tuna.%20And%20we%20both%20love%20Cutlets...we%20atleast%20I%20know%20that%20I%20could%20eat%20them%20all%20day!%20And%20these%20came%20out%20just%20so%20perfect%20that%20we%20were%20literally%20sad%20when%20it%20got%20over.%20:-)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECutlets%20are%20nothing%20but%20croquettes%20made%20of%20meat/chicken/fish/veggies.%20They%20are%20usually%20deep%20fried,%20but%20I%20prefer%20to%20shallow%20fry%20depending%20on%20the%20thickness.%20Its%20a%20lovely%20appetizer,%20crunchy%20and%20spicy%20and%20finger%20licking%20good.%20These%20Cutlets%20are%20my%20own%20recipe%20and%20it%20takes%20hardly%2030mins%20to%20prepare%20them.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20made%20few%20heart%20shaped%20cutlets,%20special%20ones%20for%20my%20sweetheart.%20I%20also%20prepared%20small%20cute%20round%20ones.%20They%20were%20crunchy%20on%20the%20outside,%20smooth%20on%20the%20inside,%20with%20a%20nice%20spicy%20flavor%20that%20will%20keep%20your%20tastebuds%20running%20even%20after%20you%20finish%20eating%20them.%20TRUST%20me!!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELet%20me%20take%20you%20through%20the%20recipe%20with%20some%20step-by-step%20pics%20which%20will%20definitely%20make%20it%20easy%20for%20you%20to%20understand%20how%20this%20delicious%20appetizer%20is%20prepared!%20:-)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20recipe%20made%20about%2010%20small%20round%20cutlets%20and%204%20medium%20sized%20heart%20shaped%20ones.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESpicy%20Tuna%20Fish%20Cutlets%20Recipe%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERecipe%20source%20:%20My%20own%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou'll%20need%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20Dice%20and%20chop%20the%20red%20onions,%20green%20chillies,%20ginger%20and%20garlic%20and%20keep%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%20Boil%20the%20potatoes%20with%20some%20salt%20and%20mash%20them%20well%20and%20keep%20aside%20to%20cool.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.%20Open%20the%20tuna%20cans%20and%20drain%20any%20excess%20oil%20or%20water%20and%20keep%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4.%20Heat%20a%20non-stick%20frying%20pan%20on%20medium%20heat,%20add%201%20tblsp%20canola%20oil%20and%20add%20the%20Ginger,%20Garlic%20and%20Green%20chillies%20and%20saute%20until%20the%20ginger-garlic%20turns%20mildly%20brown.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E5.%20Add%20the%20Red%20Onions%20and%20and%20add%20some%20salt%20and%20cover%20and%20cook%20until%20the%20onions%20turns%20soft%20and%20mild%20and%20mildly%20carmelised,%20stirring%20occasionally.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E6.%20Now%20add%20all%20the%20spices%20(%20Red%20chilli%20powder,%20turmeric%20powder,%20corriander%20powder%20and%20garam%20masala)%20and%20mix%20well.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E7.%20Then%20add%20the%20tuna%20chunks%20and%20mix%20well%20and%20such%20that%20each%20tuna%20piece%20is%20coated%20well%20with%20the%20spices%20and%20onions.%20Cover%20and%20cook%20for%202-3minutes%20and%20turn%20off%20the%20heat%20and%20let%20it%20cool.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E8.%20When%20cooled%20,%20add%20the%20mashed%20potatoes%20and%20mix%20well.%20[%20Its%20best%20to%20use%20your%20hands%20at%20this%20point%20:-)%20]%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E9.%20If%20making%20heart%20shaped%20cutlets%20,%20take%20a%20large%20handful%20of%20the%20tuna-potato%20mixture%20and%20pat%20it%20down%20on%20a%20plate%20or%20board%20and%20then%20cut%20into%20it%20using%20the%20cookie%20cutter,%20or%20you%20could%20shape%20it%20by%20hand.%20(%20I%20used%20cookie%20cutter)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E10.%20You%20can%20also%20prepare%20small%20flat%20and%20round%20cutlets%20by%20taking%20small%20tennis%20ball%20sized%20tuna-potato%20mixture%20and%20gently%20pat%20it%20to%20form%20a%20disc%20shape%20of%20even%20thickness.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E11.%20To%20coat%20the%20cutlets,%20beat%20an%20egg%20in%20a%20bowl%20and%20in%20a%20separate%20plate%20place%20the%20breadcrumbs.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E12.%20Gently%20dip%20each%20cutlet%20into%20the%20egg%20and%20place%20it%20on%20the%20plate%20with%20the%20breadcrumbs%20and%20coat%20it%20on%20both%20sides%20with%20the%20breadcrumbs.%20Do%20this%20one%20by%20one.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E13.%20You%20can%20deep%20fry%20or%20shallow%20fry%20the%20cutlets%20as%20per%20your%20wish.%20Fry%20until%20the%20cutlets%20looks%20brown%20and%20crunchy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E14.%20Serve%20hot%20with%20ketchup%20...yummm!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESuggestions:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ea.%20You%20can%20substitute%20the%20Tuna%20for%20shredded%20Chicken/Beef.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eb.%20Vegetarian%20variations%20could%20include%20mixed%20veggies%20like%20carrots,%20peas,%20baby%20spinach,%20paneer%20etc.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ec.%20You%20could%20flavour%20your%20breadcrumbs%20instead%20(if%20you%20do%20not%20like%20all%20that%20spice%20)%20with%20some%20garlic%20powder,%20red%20chilli%20flakes%20,%20dried%20oregano%20or%20some%20italian%20seasonings%20etc.%3C/p%3E
