Receta Sweet and Sour Dalagang Bukid with Veggies
A favorite dish by my family. Sweet and Sour fish dish is always a hit. Dalagang Bukid or Lapu-Lapu or Maya Maya is good to use.

Ingredientes
- 2 med dalagang bukid
- 2 med onions, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, julienned
- 1 thumb-sized ginger, julienned
- 1 small carrot, julienned
- 1 red bell pepper, julienned
- 1 cup cane vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoon cornstarch dissolved in water
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- salt and pepper to taste
- sugar to taste
Direcciones
- Clean the fish and rub some salt and let it stand for 15 minutes.
- Fry the fish and set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix the salt, sugar, water, tomato paste and vinegar.
- Saute the ginger, garlic and onion.
- Add the cane vinegar mixture. Do not stir until it boils.
- Add the fried fish.
- Add the cornstarch mixture.
- Add the red bell pepper and carrots.
- Adjust the salt and sugar to taste. Cover.
- Cook for 5 more minutes and transfer to serving dish.
