Receta Thumbprint cookies
I found this little recipe in a magazine I was reading and wanted to give it a try. These are wonderful little cookies. I want to try them with other fillings also, cant wait to do it with chocolate!!

Ingredientes
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 superfine sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract (or use 1 1/2 have vailla and 1/2 almond extract)
- choose you filling or jam (strawberry was my first try)
- 1/2 cup sifted confectioners sugar
Direcciones
- sift together flour and salt, set aside
- cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, add extracts
- slowly mix flour, 1/2 cup at a time until blended
- chill dough for 1 to 2 hours
- preheat oven to 325 degrees meanwhile quickly shape dough into 1 inch balls, and space them 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. make deep thumbprint in the center of each, fill with preferred jam or chocolate
- bake for 15 minutes or until cookies are the color of pale sand
- transfer to wire cooling rack
- when cooled dust with confectioners sugar
- you can pack in tin cans for gifts if doing this for the holidays
