- Slice apples into shallow baking dish. Pour over them the 1/2 c. water. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Sift together 1 1/2 c. flour and 3/4 c. sugar. Cut into this mix 1/2 c. butter. Spread this crumbly mix over apples. Bake in 375 degree oven for 45 min or possibly till apples are tender. Cut into squares. Serve crisp side up, warm or possibly cool, plain, topped with favorite topping or possibly vanilla ice cream.
